Over the last several months there has been a shift on this island, a subtle shift, but a powerful one nonetheless. What is this shift? Why, it’s the women of Maui coming together, engaging in real, authentic conversation, sharing dreams, hurts and encouragements…It’s women from different backgrounds, with ages ranging from 20s to 80s, sharing laughter, tears and some more laughter (LOL).
Maui Women Live Out Loud is not your “ordinary” women’s group – it’s EXTRAordinary because of the women who show up and share their lives, and our God who is faithful to show up as well! It is life-changing for sure.
Who: Women on Maui
What: Come as you are: we’ll hang out, enjoy music by Jamie Gallo and have a special time of caring, sharing and praying together.
When: Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 4pm-7pmish
Where: Liza Pierce’s home in Kihei, Hawaii. (Psst…Liza has a saltwater pool, eeee!!! So excited!) Note: Please contact me for Liza’s address & directions to her house.
Other: Wear comfy clothes, bring a light jacket or blanket, as it gets chilly at night, bottle of water, and a chair or towel to sit on. Optional: bring your favorite pupu to share (store bought or homemade, nobody cares, we just like to eat). Oh, and don’t forget: an open heart!
While we’d love to do so, we are unable to offer childcare at this time. Please, women only. If you are able to make it even just a couple of hours, it will be worth it. 🙂
February is considered the “Love Month” and we want to celebrate! We will be talking about the many different facets of love that God expresses to us, His daughters! We will cover topics such as extravagant love, anticipatory love, sacrificial love, unfailing love, and enduring love.
Sandy Conway of Pono Radio and Jennifer Poppy of Island Gypsy Hawaii & Pray Hawaii (pictured, above on far left) are the co-founders of Maui Women Live Out Loud. Our mission is to empower women to live out loud by sharing, caring, and praying for each other.
To help women on this island to realize they were made for a God-Sized Dream. “Live out loud” also means reaching out to other women in this community by doing random acts of kindness and inviting them to a meeting. And most of all, to create a ripple effect that would inspire other women from all over the world to have their own Live Out Loud community!
If you want something different from the norm, join us! This is a women’s group like Maui has never seen before! The only requirement is that you be real, that’s the deal!
Come, bring a friend and choose to “Live Out Loud”!
Save the date: Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 from 4pm-7pm Maui Women Live Out Loud will meet at Keawakapu Beach in Kihei. We’ll have a special hula performance that night as well!
Livin’ la vida aloha,
